Sixers snap C's win streak at 11

The Philadelphia 76ers defeated the Boston Celtics tonight 98-97 to snap the Celtics 11-game win streak.

Elton Brand sunk a bucket in the lane with 7.7 seconds to go, and a Paul Pierce turnaround jumpshot bounced out at the buzzer, after he looked off an open Eddie House for 3, which secured the win for Philadelphia.

Philadelphia ran the Celtics ragged and ran the halfcourt offense through Elton Brand to steal a win at the TD Garden and shock the Celtics. Brand led the Sixers with 23 points and 8 rebounds, getting some major help from Andre Igoudala (18 points, 8 rebounds, 4 assists) and newborn Celtic killer, Wille Green (16 points, 4 rebounds, 4 assists).

For the Celtics, Kevin Garnett (21 points, 10 rebounds) and Rajon Rondo (13 points, 10 assists) once again led the way, but an off-shooting night for both Pierce and Allen combined with 17 turnovers contributed to the Celtics demise.

Momentum seemed to swing in the Sixers favor when Rasheed Wallace was ejected late in the 2nd Quarter for going ballistic on referee Bill Kennedy. Rasheed was arguing a dubious moving screen call that normally goes uncalled, except, of course, for Kendrick Perkins, who leads the world in moving screen calls over the past three seasons.
