Undergoing site changes

Sometime during the next few days, Celtics Town will be undergoing site changes that will make our site a far better place for you to visit.  However, you will have to bear with us as our site, for a couple hours or so, will look completely unprofessional and unbecoming.  Once the couples hours are over and our new site is up and running, we will also be having a new RSS feed, which I believe (but am not positive) will be www.celticstown.com/feed. 

Thanks for sticking with us, and we hope you're as excited for our new site as we are.

Celtics Town looking for new writer

With our new blog dedicated to giving more constant updates, it's become increasingly difficult to run Celtics Town with our current crop of writers.  Because time can only permit us to write so many posts in a day, we would like to open up a search for the newest Celtics Town writer in order to expand our coverage of the team. 

We ask only that our new addition be reliable, committed, a knowledgable NBA and Celtics fan, and a damn good writer.  If you would like to be considered for the position, please email me at jayking@celticstown.com, or contact me via Twitter @CelticsTown.  In order for us to gauge your writing skills, please send a sample (or preferably three or four samples) of your writing.  You don't have to have any experience as a blogger, you just need to be committed and talented.

We are looking for at least one individual to assist with the blog and another to be a columnist.  Or, if you're really committed, you could even do both.

We don't have any money to give you (I can hear you all screaming DAMN IT!), but we can offer you exposure for your writing and a place for your opinions to be heard.

Also, don't be crushed if we don't pick you.  Not being chosen to write for Celtics Town isn't quite the end of the world.

New Celtics Town Blog

See the excitement, the passion, the determination on Paul Pierce's face?  Well, you should have seen mine today while I was trying to complete this Goddamn blog.  You see, I know nothing about HTML code, or CSS, or whatever the hell you computer nerds want to call it.  But there I was, plugging away, trying to create a blog I could be proud of. 

For a long time, I've wanted to have a blog.  I've had a website, but it's a lot more difficult to post short updates to than a dynamic blog.  In the meantime, I've read articles that I've wanted to link to, highlights I've wanted to post, and brief updates I've wanted to share.  With our regular site, Celtics Town, it's been tough to do that.  Now, with the new blog, I should be able to bring you more updates throughout the day in addition to my regular columns which will still be on the website.  So come back early and often, I've got a lot of thoughts to share and now I've got yet another venue through which to share them.

Look for our first issue of The Morning Walkthrough tomorrow morning.  I know the Celtics don't have a morning walkthrough anymore, but that doesn't mean we can't.  In The Morning Walkthrough, we'll bring you links from the web and our opinions regarding the articles we link to.  Enjoy, and let me know what you think of the new blog.  Thanks in advance for your feedback.
