Halftime: Celtics 49 - Bucks 48

Tuesday, December 8, 2009

The Celtics lead at halftime 49-48 in a game that has been a predictable energy-lacking let down game. Playing against the lowly Bucks after the extreme high of the 4-game road sweep, the Celtics are not taking the Bucks too seriously right now, and the Bucks are using that to hang around.

Bogut and Jennings have both been very good for the Bucks. Bogut has 12 points, 7 rebounds, and 4 assists, while Jennings has 9 points and 2 assists, but also 3 TO's. More importantly, the Bucks are outrebounding 23-18, but with only 4;23 in the 2nd quarter, the rebounding advantage for the Bucks was 22-12.

Offensively, the Celtics are shooting over 50% and sharing the ball very well. Rondo hasn't scored a point, but he's lead the attack with 6 assists and 7 rebounds. Pierce and Garnett are continuing their streak of good play, leading the Celtics with 10 and 12 points, respectively.

Prediction? The Celtics toy with the Bucks and keep this one close, but pull out an entertaining game down the stretch.
